Living Workshops

Tid: February 11-15, 11-15
Sted: Mayor's Yard

Fun and educational activities are brewing for both children and adults at the Mayor’s Yard in the Winter Break!

All kids, parents and grandparents are invited to a cozy time at the Mayor’s Yard’s lovely historical setting. The Mayor’s Yard will turn the school room into a creative building site, where you can learn about brickwork patterns and rows, and get the chance to build a piece of a brick wall in miniature, with the thick walls of Nyborg Castle as your inspiration.

Nyborg Castle’s costume guild will again host creative activities for kids in the sewing room. You can sew your own change purse, create strawberries from cloth, try your hand at potato printing and braid a ribbon on the braiding wheel.

You can also experience the fascinating and authentic work process in the blacksmith shop, and you can borrow a sword and helmet in the museum’s charming courtyard. There are also jump ropes, stilts and other old-fashioned playthings.

Have you gotten hungry for sweets and thirsty for coffee? In the old kitchen, we’ll be roasting coffee beans on the iron cooker in an authentic coffee roaster, and brewing coffee the old-fashioned way. We will also bake various goodies and offer you tasting samples of everything.

Come on by and take part in our delightful, living workshops!

Free for kids and young people under 18.
