Meet Nyborg Castle’s Costume Guild

Tid: Every Friday from 10-12, March 1st to October 25th
Sted: The Mayor’s Yard

Come and try on one of their beautiful, historic costumes and get your picture taken in the picturesque courtyard.

Nyborg Castle’s Costume Guild has been active in the sewing room at the Mayor’s Yard for 5 years. So far they have sewn no less than 800 pieces of clothing, which are used during the grand historic procession in Nyborg in honour of the Danehof celebration and at other times, as well.

You can meet the Costume Guild in the sewing room at the Mayor’s Yard on the following days during the museum’s opening hours:

In June, the Costume Guild is in high gear because of preparations for the upcoming Danehof celebration. There will be the buzzing of sewing needles all month.

If you’re game to look like a person from the Middle Ages or the Renaissance, the Costume Guild will gladly help you to find a costume you like and to help you get dressed in it. There are costumes in all sizes, large and small.

If you would like to sew your own medieval costume, then take part in creative and informal workshops arranged by Nyborg Castle’s Costume Guild.
